I am currently a PhD candidate student in Jana Vamosi's labs at the University of Calgary. My PhD research has focused on three parts. Firstly, quantitative trait locus analysis about which gene sequence control the ultraviolet (UV) trait in Mimulus plant. Secondly, genetic diversity of Mimulus guttatus from putative Pleistocene refugia in Alberta. Thirdly, phylogenetic comparative methods to analyze the phylogenetic signals (especially UV trait) in flowering plants.
